Too much sun today

Hi :)

What did you do today?
that's nice.
me?

Oh. I just climbed a volcano and ate lunch at an elevation of 260 metres with 360 degree views emersed in sunlight and a light breeze.

Ok. so I'm being a jerk. I had a really good day though. Even if I look a bit like a racoon for foolishly refusing to put on sunscreen even though I brought it with me. I had fully intended to bring my camera with me to the Internet Cafe so I could upload a few photos for you guys, however I failed miserably to remember to bring the camera. I think it has to do with the 5 hours of hiking starting to take its toll. I am exhausted!

Tomorrow morning I have to be out and ready for the bus at 7 am! I hope I will make it. If I don't I have to pay another $27 for my hostel and rebook for monday. I'd rather just get to go tomorrow.

I always think of such insightful interesting things to write on my blog, except when I'm sitting in front of a computer.

I am having a wonderful time. Good people and Beautiful places. I think four days in Auckland is enough for now though. It's not the capital of New Zealand, but it is the largest city. It is like a hub for tourism and other economical boosts for NZ.

Onward and northward to Paihai and Cape Rienga! I might not be on for a while, but I'll think of you all and next time I'll remember to load some pictures!!

I second Irf's comment. And if that isn't overwhelming enough, my mom agrees TOO! She did the backpacker thing for 18 months and wrote about what she did every day- if she hadn't (she says) she would have forgotten a lot of it. Doesn't have to be lovely- even point form will do, to help trigger fickle memory later on.

Can you buy waterproofing spray from a outdoors shop for your jacket etc?

Went for a walk today and aqquired a set of wet feet from getting cold snow in my shoes. Q: Do I feel sorry for Crystal getting a sunburn? A: Well, yes, because if I didn't, I'd be a rhymes-with-witch. But still!

Miss you, Miss. :) -Party Hardy
